At Small Middle School, students are the true school garden leaders, creating projects to expand and sustain the food garden through the Green Tech Academy classes. Full garden beds and a robust greenhouse for starting seedlings are a few of the exemplary features of this thriving school garden program. It’s clear that students at Small Middle School learn the importance of local foods first hand!

Small has created a Seed to Table Project where students create a menu for a meal they will prepare for the class, and then, over the course of the semester, prepare, plant, maintain and harvest vegetables and herbs that make up at least 50% of the meal.
