The Webb Middle School gardens were created in October, 2010.

"Our garden is successful because of the dedicated staff that help maintain the garden year round and sponsor the students in our "Green Club". The biggest success is its beauty and quiet space to reflect. There are always "surprises" in our garden such as the huge fungi growing from the trunk of an old stump beneath our fig tree. The students love it."

Transforming a barren walk-through area

Webb Middle School transformed a barren walk-through area into a luscious native habitat. Now accessible to students young and old, the Webb habitat is an integral part of the school culture. The plants all began very small but eventually filled out, with some of them being donated by Keep Austin Beautiful.
